The participants of the conference will be able to visit several prizewinning buildings. Svartlamoen in Trondheim – also the motive of the conferences profile, has for a long time had a lot of attention due to its distinctive and characteristic architecture.

The Norwegian Wood Prize 2014 was recently given to Brendeland & Kristoffersen Arkitekter AS. They have received the prize for many buildings that stand as fine reference buildings both within and outside Norway. Three of their prestigious projects are Svartlamoen in Trondheim which was Norway’s first CLT building and later the nursery and a cultural centre in the same area.

The jury emphasized that the sophisticated and unique architecture of Brendeland & Kristoffersen often is bold and without compromise and at the same time taking on social challenges. The architecture may at first glance seem provokingly simple but then at the same time there are sophisticated solutions under a seemingly simple surface.
